Fall 2004In this course we attempt to construct a framework within which you can synthesize what you have learned in entomology, plant pathology, weed science, crop production, ecology and farm business management into a coherent, integrated approach to reducing crop losses caused by pests. Lectures integrate the principles of ecology, economics, and pest control across multiple systems. Laboratories comprise exercises to reinforce concepts presented in lecture and demonstrate pest monitoring techniques and the application of computer technology to management problems. |
