Since Repandens yew (T. bacatta repandens) is moderately difficult to root (more difficult than T. cuspidata), it is sometimes side grafted to seedling rootstockss during the winter in a cool greenhouse. At this Long Island nursery grafted pots were plunged into moist peat beneath a glass cover for callusing.
