In modern days, There is no traditional function like planning, research, product development , design, production, marketing and selling that is not being done more and more by teams. We live in a time in which the team-centred organization is becoming less the exception and more the norm. Some of the most dominant and successful companies in the world already function largely as team-centred organizations. There are many, many more companies that may not be fully team-centred, but which make extensive use of teamwork and teams. Teamwork and teams have become the overstrategies and common factors in all sustained initiatives . They have become cental to total quality management, continuous process improvement, total customer service, re-engineering and all other management control.
