What's hoteling?

Presented by Lauren Gentile & Kooyoung Kim

Hoteling is an alternative office

technique that involves reserving an

office space for the time needed to be in

the office.  Workers make reservations

for the dates they need to use an office,

and when they arrive at the office that

day, the workspace is set up for them.

At the end of the day they remove their

belongings from the space, and it is

ready to be set up for the next person to

use the next day.  This trend began in

the late '80s when organizations began

to realize that up to 60 to 70 percent of

the workforce may be working away

from the office.
