As we move into the millenium, technology is advancing and buildings are one of the many showcases of our discoveries and design inventions. But along with all the futuristic titanium workstations and sleek sofa chairs is the move towards an office setting that is more of a natural environment than a high tech space ship. Recently, architects, owners, developers and designers are embracing the elements of the earth in the construction of buildings and their interiors. Cities all over the United States and oversees as well are realizing the benefits of environmental or sustainable design and are going beyond the small steps of recycling to incorporating nature’s resources into the development of their facilities and workplace strategies.
