These images and animations were submitted as class projects by students in Computer Science 418 This course provides an introduction to the principles of interactive computer graphics and scientific visualization. Topics include three-dimensional graphics algorithms, lighting models, procedural texture synthesis, and application to scientific data analysis.

The students were supplied with a simple renderer and a high-level mathematical design language. They had to design their own modelers to create geometry, then design animation tools to make the geometries move. The modeler construction, animation tool construction, and rendering used IBM's Visualization Data Explorer as the programming environment. The instructor was Bruce Land.
