BioNB 440: Lab 6

Timing and signal generation.

Introduction.

This assignment will build a stimulator to make waveforms to use as physiological stimuli.

Download and save the file timing1.ewb. This circuit is the basis of a physiological stimulator. You will need to add another timer to produce a delay.

Note that in this and every lab assignment the verb build means to construct a circuit on the protoype board whith actual parts. The verb simulate means use Electronics Workbench mathematically simulate the circuit.

1. Build a physiological stimulator with the following specifications:

   • Trigger output and pulse output
   • Frequency from 1 to 100 Hz.
   • Delay from trigger out to pulse out of 1-10 milliseconds
   • Pulse length of 1-10 milliseconds
   • Trigger out pulse should be short (say 10 microseconds)

The results of the simulations and schematic of the actual circuits you built should be in your lab notes.
