WIKI-NEUROETHOLOGY

Welcome to the WikiNeuroethology page, a project associated with the BioNB424 class in Neuroethology at Cornell University.

The goal of this project is to assemble a knowledge base on the subject of neuroethology designed to introduce Wikipedia readers to the world of Neuroetholgy Research, Neuroethologists, History, and Methods.

LOGGING ON TO WIKIPEDIA

Create Account/Sign In: Student participants should go to the Wikipedia Page and "sign in" by creating an account. Signing in allows you to edit pages using a user-defined name and password. The edits will be recorded under your log-in name. You can use any name you like, but make sure to record your name and password somewhere so that you can return to make multiple edits. Carl Hopkins has logged on to Wikipedia using cdh8 (his Cornell NetID).

Create a User Page (optional): If you wish to be identified to Wikipedia, select the "tab" with your user name after you have logged in. Then, go to the "edit this page" tab. Enter the information you wish to share (if any). Preview the page to make sure there are no mistakes and then save the page. Start Editing the Neuroethology Page: Once you have tried to do a minor edit, go to the NEUROETHOLGY definition in wikipedia. Make a minor edit to the page and test to make sure that it has worked correctly. If you are having problems, consult the help page or contact me directly.
