CHOOSE ONE of the following topics on which to write:
- As you are reading the assignment, make a list of all the the references to military technology that you encounter. Then write a short essay in which you describe the strategies, tactics, and weapons that were characteristic of this period. (The list is for your own reference and does not have to be submitted with the essay.)
- Alternatively, write a short essay in which you describe the Franks and their civilization, as perceived by Usama.
- Or, if you prefer, write an essay on a topic of your own choice.
Whatever you do, don't neglect to proofread/spell-check your essay before turning it in!
